Factory Data Reset:
  1. From the main home screen, tap menu
  2. Tap Settings, then Privacy
  3. Tap Factory data reset
  4. Tap Reset phone
  5. Enter your password if required, then tap Erase everything to confirm
Hard Reset:
  1. Turn the power off. If your Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it

How to Hard Reset HTC Sensation

It is recommended to take backup all your data including contacts, messages and other softwares before proceeding to Reset. 
STEPS
  • Tap on “Menu” button, then tap on “Settings
  • In Settings, tap on “SD & Phone Storage
  • In “SD & Phone Storage” go to to the last option called “Factory Data Reset
  • In Factory Data Reset it will ask you an option “Erase SD card“, tap it if you want clean your SD Card otherwise leave it.
It will clean all your data including third party software Installations and phone comes to factory default position.

If it dosen’t work, or your Phone is freeze then try the following steps.

STEPS
  • Turn off your HTC Sensation and pulled the battery out for 10 seconds.
  •  Now Insert the battery in your phone again.
  • Now Hold the “Volume Down Button
  • Press  ”Power Button“ until the phone turn on.
  • Now you will see a menu with options “Fastbook“, “Recovery“,  ”Clear Storage” & “Sim Lock“.
  • Go to “Clear Storage” by pressing the” Volume Down Button”.
  • Now press the Power Button and release.
  • Now it will show you “Yes” and “No” option.
  • Go to “Yes” by pressing “Volume Up” button.
That’s it, once the process end, your phone will be rebooted and comes to Factory Default Position.
